Little Noise Theatre

Enriching children's lives through the magic of theatre.

For years many audience members have asked “Does BNT do youth programming? How can my kids get involved?” This fall we proudly introduce Little Noise Theatre to the Des Plaines and Chicagoland community. LNT is a 7-week theatrical education experience for young performers to learn singing, dancing, and acting in a class as they prepare for a weekend of performances.

Children first through eighth grades are invited to participate in classes led by professional teaching artists. No experience is required and there is no audition to join. Students will participate in an audition in class and everyone gets a part! Stay tuned to our website and social media for more information in the coming weeks about productions, instructors, and registration for Little Noise Theatre.

Classes begin the week of September 12! We're so excited!

Mara Silver-Schack (Music Director, KIDS) is thrilled to be joining the inaugural Little Noise Theatre team! A certified K-12 certified music teacher, Mara began her career teaching general music and choir in the Chicago Public Schools. While taking a break from teaching full-time to raise her own children, she has taught after-school theater and music enrichment classes in the Chicago suburbs and currently leads her own private voice studio. She is also an elected board member of District 28 schools. Mara has enjoyed performing since she was a child and has loved her experience in various community theater productions around the Chicagoland area, most recently as Connie Boylen in “Annie” at Deerfield Family Theater. Mara resides in Northbrook with her three wonderful children, her loving husband, and her two playful cats.
